The Gosford Shield (40K) is a one day Warhammer 40K tournament with 4 rounds of 1250 pts.  The overall winner is determined by not just how many games they win, but also by painting, army composition and sportsmanship. 

This event was held on Saturday March 5th 2011 at the Tuggerah Community Hall.  It was a weekend of gaming, with the Gosford Shield on the Saturday with a limit of 36 Warhammer 40K players. On Sunday there was separate tournaments for Warhammer Fantasy (Coasthammer), Malifaux and Infinity.

The event was supported by Good Games Gosford, and the Tournament Organisers were Damien Carter and Darren Cain.

The break down of armies used was 3 Imperial Guard players, 3 Orks, 3 Dark Angels and 3 Necrons.  2 Daemons, 2 Blood Angels, 2 Tyranids, 2 Eldar.  One each of Chaos SM, Dark Eldar, Black Templars, Space Wolves and Daemonhunters. No Codex Space Marines at all.


Gosford Shield 2010 (40K)

One day 40K tournament, Saturday Jan 16th 2010

The Gosford Shield (40K) 2010 was held on Saturday Jan 16th at the Tuggerah Community Hall.  This is 5 minutes walk from Tuggerah train station and is just off the Sydney-Newcastle F3 freeway. 

The scoring breakdown was 60% battle, 16% sports, 16% composition and 8% painting. 

The Event Organiser was Peter Palmer of the Central Coast Corsairs gaming group and the Tournament Organisers were Mark Croxford, Darren Cairn, Damien Carter and Noel Leslie.

Gosford Shield 2009 (40K)

One day 40K tournament, Saturday Jan 17th 2009

Tickets sold out a week and a half before the event, and we had 34 players taking part on the day.  These players came from the Central Coast, Cessnock, Sydney and Coffs Harbour.

This event was the equal 3rd largest 40K tournament held in NSW over the last 12 months (behind Lords of Terra and Leviathon), and was the largest one day 40K tournament held in NSW.  The event is also unique in being largely held outdoors.

The Gosford Shield (40K) was a 1250 pt, 4 round tournament.  The scoring breakdown was 60% battle, 16% Comp, 16% Sports and 8% Painting. 

The Event Organizer was Glenn Andrew of Gosford Hobbies and the Tournament Organiser was Mark Croxford.
