Australasian Warhammer 40000 Tournament Rankings 2007 - 2010
The Australasian 40K Tournament Rankings have been run since 2003. For the period 2003 to 2006 the Rankings were maintained by Geoff Tewierik on his web site http://figmentia.com.
For the period 2007 to 2010 the 40K Rankings were maintained by Mark Croxford on this site.
From early 2010 the Rankings were available on RankingsHQ.
2015 update: RankingsHQ has stopped operating and their data seems to be no longer available. Geoff's site no longer publishes the Rankings for 2003 - 2006. I have removed the Comp and Sports Rankings from my site (excluding the top 10 summaries).
2021 update: I have removed all the player rankings, partly for privacy and partly because it was all over ten years old. The summary of how many tournaments were held and what the proportion was of each army has been retained for the moment.
2025 update: Removed the rankings. Some summary information retained on this page.

Games Workshop stopped running tournaments at the end of 2007, and as a result the number of events and players dipped in 2008. Ignoring 2008, the average number of players at an event has remained around 34 players over the period in question.
Including information supplied by Geoff Tewierik, the average number of players at events has remained fairly constant over the life of the Rankings.

Melbourne has had fewer tournaments each year than most other cities, but the tournaments tend to attract more players. Arcanacon is undoubtedly Australia's largest regular 40K event, and is held on the Australia Day long weekend each year. Arcanacon is normally a 40K only event.
Cancon is also held on the Australia Day long weekend each year, but covers many gaming systems including 40K, WFB, Flames of War and other systems. Cancon would undoubtedly be Australia's largest gaming event.
