I started this project with Xyston rather than Forged in Battle miniatures. I had bought a pack of FiB pikemen, but the pose meant that adding the pikes (they come without weapons) was difficult. Also given the rise in prices of FiB over the previous year (£11 to £12 for base pack) and the drop in the Australian dollar, I could get Xyston miniatures from an Australian supplier at a cheaper price than the FiB models.
I have used a mix of Xyston and Forged in Battle (War and Empire) figures to build an Alexandrian Macedonian (#39) army.
7x Macedonian & Early Successor Generals (WE-G17)
12x Macedonian Companion Cavalry (WE-MA01)
12x Greek/Thessalian Cavalry (WE-GL02)
4 x Macedonian Prodromoi (XY-20080)
4 x Thracian Light Cavalry (XY-20071)
24x Macedonian Phalangites, marching (WE-MA04)
24x Unarmoured Pikemen (3 x XY-20066)
24x Pikemen in Linen Armour (3 x XY-20073)
8x Pike File Leaders/Officers (XY-20072)
