Results by Army

How often each Warhammer 40K army appears in tournaments and how well they do.

The results by army have been calculated a little differently from the player results. The Army statistics have been calculated using the Log32 scoring system. However, for the purpose of the Army statistics, each tournament has a weighting of 100%. Thus if a given army wins a tournament it will get a score of 100 regardless of the size of the tournament. If an army has an average score of 50 that means that on average it places the the middle of the field.

The following tables are based on all available results for the12 month period up to 30-Jun-2010. For a breakdown by region refer to Army Results by Region.

Space Marines (All) includes Space Marines, Black Templars, Blood Angels, Dark Angels and Space Wolves.
Ordos includes Daemonhunters (including Grey Knights), Witch Hunters (which includes Sisters of Battle), Inquisition and Ordos.
Tau includes Kroot Mercenaries.

Results are from the last 12 months of tournaments, where details of which armies were used were available.

The Podium Ratio for an army is its % of podium finishes / % of armies. For example, Orks had 10% of the podium finishes but were only 8% of the total armies. So when you take into account the number of times that an army is used, Orks are about 1.3x as likely as the average army to get a podium finish.
